Sanitary pumps are specialized equipment that facilitates the transportation of hygienic liquids and slurries through industrial processing pipeline systems. They play a critical role in ensuring the safety of products intended for human consumption or contact, including but not limited to pharmaceuticals, dairy products, beverages, food, cosmetics, and fine chemicals.
Sanitary pumps are designed to meet high standards of hygiene and cleanliness, featuring smooth internal surfaces that mitigate bacterial growth and minimize the risk of product contamination, which is essential in industries such as food and beverage processing, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics.
Sanitary pumps can use various pumping mechanisms, such as centrifugal, positive displacement, or peristaltic pumping, depending on the specific application. The design of a sanitary pump features materials that are resistant to corrosion and contamination, as well as smooth surfaces that are easy to clean and sanitize.
When in operation, a sanitary pump moves fluid through the system by creating a pressure difference between the inlet and outlet ports. This pressure difference causes the fluid to flow through the pump and into the process line. The pump then maintains the flow rate required to keep the process running smoothly.
Sanitary pumps are designed to meet strict regulatory requirements for hygiene and cleanliness, making them an essential component in many industries where purity and safety are paramount.
Our sanitary pumps are created by highly skilled technical engineers who possess extensive expertise in their field. Consequently, our pump selection boasts cutting-edge technology with a surface roughness of under 1 RA.
Our centrifugal pumps are also equipped with optimized internal geometry and specialized o-rings, making them ideal for Cleaning in Place (CIP) and providing unparalleled levels of hygiene.
1. Easy service and High-Tech Seal Design
During the design process of our new range of pumps, one of our primary objectives was to ensure that our customers could easily service their pumps. We are pleased to announce that we have fully achieved this aim.
The front-loaded shaft seals allow for a hassle-free and swift change of seals without requiring any specialized tools. Our impellers have holes that serve to balance the pressure on both sides of the impeller, thereby minimizing the wear and tear of the mechanical shaft seal and motor bearings.
Our supporting leg has been designed to offer perfect support during operation and a stable pump set-up. In addition, our supporting leg can be moved under the motor before servicing, making the service process considerably more manageable than with other pumps.
We offer both single and double mechanical seals in various material combinations. Our double mechanical seals have been created as flushed seals to prevent the pump from running dry. Our pumps also share the same mechanical shaft seal to simplify spare parts inventory, which coupled with our easy service, helps reduce maintenance costs.
2. Impeller and Volute Design
We utilize the latest design tools to create our impellers and volutes, which ensures that our pumps have exceptional performance and efficiency. The volute has a unique design that enables gentle product handling. Additionally, the back plate and volute have been meticulously crafted to allow the outlet connection to be turned into any position without compromising the pump’s efficiency.
3. Motor Size and Flexibility
The design of the shaft and back plate facilitates the replacement of the motor with a larger or smaller size, if the pump duty requirements need to be modified.
4. Noise Level and NPSH
Our S-FP pump boasts a low noise level and excellent NSPH, which ensures both gentle product handling and efficient suction capacity. Moreover, the risk of cavitation is greatly reduced thanks to our high NSPH value. The S-FP pumps guarantee both gentle product treatment and exceptional energy efficiency. Our primary objective when creating the S-FP pump range was to offer the most hygienic and trouble-free pumps available in the market.
5. Reliable
At HFM, we strictly adhere to the highest standards of quality and safety, ensuring all of our products meet the rigorous requirements of GRG, FDA, and SGS certifications.
Besides, each of the products has been meticulously crafted to meet the rigorous standards established by the European Hygienic Engineering and Design Group (EHEDG). The EHEDG guidelines provide a comprehensive framework for ensuring the hygienic design of equipment and processes used in the food, pharmaceutical, and other industries where sanitary conditions are essential.
Thus, the products have been developed with great attention to detail, incorporating features and materials that promote the highest levels of cleanliness, safety, and performance. By adhering to the EHEDG standards, the products are guaranteed to meet the most stringent regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
