How Does a Plate Evaporator Work

Similar to a Semi-Welded Plate Heat Exchanger, the sealing in a Plate Evaporator alternates between laser welds and gaskets. Designed for efficient evaporation under vacuum conditions, it features a unique porthole configuration that enhances vaporization performance. The process liquid flows through the welded channel, while the heating medium, such as steam or hot water, circulates in the gasketed channel to facilitate evaporation.
