This week, HFM service engineers went to do the plate heat exchanger service for vessel MSC Eloise on board.
There are three AX30 units, which were made in 1990. Those units are operated as lube oil cooler and central cooling cooler. The last time of service was many years ago. This vessel needs complete maintenance in a shipyard. The whole cooling system, including the oil and air cooling system, requires a full inspection. We checked the frame surface and connection ports, the corrosion condition is fine. We installed a completely new plate pack and sealed it with a new set of gaskets, including the collar rings. After the pressure test, the plate heat exchangers retrieve the normal operation condition.
